See what’s triggering your seasonal or year-round respiratory allergies.
Whether it’s a tickle in your throat, itchy, watery eyes, or you can’t stop sneezing—respiratory allergies could be to blame. Allergic rhinitis (or hay fever) is a common condition and can affect all ages. Symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis occur in spring, summer and/or early fall. They are usually caused by allergic sensitivity to pollens from trees, grasses or weeds.³ This environmental allergy test measures IgE antibodies (released by the body in response to allergens) to assess your body’s immune response to common indoor and outdoor allergens including pollen, mold, pet and animal dander, dust mites, grasses and more. Note: Having measurable IgE for a particular allergen does not guarantee that you will have an allergic reaction when exposed to it. In general, higher IgE levels are associated with a greater chance of having a true allergy but do not predict how severe your allergic symptoms could be.¹ IgE testing is not considered sufficient to diagnose an allergy on its own.² Results from this test should be interpreted in the context of your medical history with a health care provider or an allergist. Results should be shared and discussed with a healthcare professional before making an allergy diagnosis.
